Learning from history — experience of totalitarian regimes of the 20th century

The project adopts a comprehensive, multi-faceted approach to address the gaps in the Polish educational system regarding the history of World War II, the Holocaust, and anti-Semitic attitudes. The methodology integrates innovative educational tools, participatory learning techniques, and collaborative partnerships to achieve the project’s objectives.

We are releasing 10 episodes dedicated to difficult topics such as Polish-Jewish relations, the Holocaust, and antisemitism.

We present a unique report by Alicja Kotowska and Karolina Marcinkowska – the result of a nationwide survey conducted among teachers and educators as part of the Educational Toolkit project. The report fills a gap in research by focusing not on students, but on the psychosocial and methodological challenges teachers face when teaching about traumatic past events.
